Dental Radiography

Dental Radiography

We are use medication to help patients relax during dental procedures. It’s sometimes referred to as “sleep dentistry,” although that’s not entirely accurate. Patients are usually awake with the exception of those who are under general anesthesia.

The levels of sedation used include:

  • Minimal sedation – you are awake but relaxed.
  • Moderate sedation (formerly called “conscious sedation”) – you may slur your words when speaking and not remember much of the procedure.
  • Deep sedation – you are on the edge of consciousness but can still be awakened.
  • General anesthesia – you are completely unconscious.

Side effects from local anesthetics are very rare, and the anesthetic usually lasts for only a couple of hours.

I’ve been going to Highfield dentist for a year now. I have to say it’s one of the best dentists around! I originally came here adamant I wanted 4 veneers to replace my front teeth because hating them since I can remember. I went and saw Fash and instead of agreeing and taking my money, he told me that it was unethical and he’d be a “criminal” to file my “strong healthy” teeth down at such a young age (I was 22 at the time). He told me veneers weren’t the correct option and that I should look at a brace instead. One year on and I have a brace through Naz and I couldn’t be happier! Naz is so friendly and down to earth, it doesn’t feel like going to the dentist! Fash took my teeth out ready for the brace and I can honestly say I didn’t feel a thing…I never had a tooth out before but now I wouldn’t want anyone else to take them out. Overall brilliant friendly dentist with professionals dedicated to giving you the perfect smile!

Highfield Dental Clinic at the forefront of dental expertise, treatment, and patient care. Dr. Assadi and his staff continuously demonstrate and provide the best treatment putting the dental health of their patients before other concerns. Over fourteen years of being in their care, I continue to return. Knowing the treatment provided will be of the both of highest quality and affordable. Being an extremely nervous patient, I want to make sure I am at ease and as comfortable as a visit to the dentist can be for anyone who needs dental treatment. It would be extremely difficult to find a dental surgery that could provide better care not just for your mouth but as an individual.
